به صورت کلی ام دی اف از ذرات ریز چوب به همراه چسب ساخته شده است. حال برای آنکه استحکام بیشتری داشته باشد و نیز زیبایی ظاهری آن بیشتر شود، از روکش های مختلف استفاده می کنند. جنس این روکش ها معمولاً از جنس اکریلات بوده و دوام ام دی اف را بالاتر می برند. از روکش ها و ورق هایگلس ام دی اف که تراکم نسبتا خوبی دارند، معمولا برای تزئین درب های داخلی، قفسه بندی کابینت ها، به عنوان پنل های چوبی و نیز به عنوان حالت دهنده برخی لوازم تزئینی استفاده می شود. روکش های ام دی اف به دو دسته براق ( ورق هایگلاس) و مات (اوپک) تقسیم می شوند. سطح براق و هموار به منظور استفاده در طبقه بندی و تزئینات ایده آل است و سطوح مات معمولا برای مکان هایی که شستشو اهمیت بیشتری دارد استفاده می شوند.
از دلایل دیگر استفاده از روکش ها و ورق هایگلاس این است که ام دی اف ها در برابر رطوبت مقاومت چندانی از خود نشان نمی دهند و به سرعت با آب واکنش می دهند. در اثر این واکنش ام دی اف متورم شده و به اصطلاح « باد می کند» در نتیجه از MDF هایگلس استفاده می کنند.

Following the policies of the country regarding resistive economy and also giving importance to domestic production, Kaj Nama Choob opened its factory in 2016. This factory is the result of field surveys and various researches and is located in Shahriar, Tehran. Kaj Nama Choob is using high-tech full-automatic machines for manufacturing high gloss MDF panels with the brand name of Decopanel. The daily production capacity of this factory is more than 5000 square meters of high gloss MDF panels and has created job for 25 individuals
